Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about renting a mobile golf simulator in Northern Virginia.

General Questions

What is a mobile golf simulator?
A mobile golf simulator is a portable, inflatable setup that lets players hit real golf balls into a screen using real clubs. Sensors track the shot and display ball flight, distance, and accuracy on a projected screen. Capitol Tee brings the full setup to your event location — no permanent installation required.
How much does it cost to rent a golf simulator in Northern Virginia?
Pricing starts at $325/hour with a minimum of 2 hours. Contact us at (703) 539-2899 or info@capitoltee.com for availability and to reserve your date.
What areas do you serve?
Capitol Tee serves all of Loudoun County and Fairfax County in Northern Virginia, including Ashburn, Leesburg, Brambleton, South Riding, Sterling, Herndon, Reston, Chantilly, Fairfax, McLean, Falls Church, Centreville, Purcellville, and more — plus parts of Frederick, Maryland and the DC Metro Area. Contact us with your zip code and we will confirm delivery.
Is setup and takedown included?
Yes. Full setup and takedown are included in every rental. Our team arrives before your guests, manages the simulator throughout the event, and handles complete teardown when you are done. You focus on your guests; we handle everything else.
Do guests need golf experience to use the simulator?
Not at all. First-time golfers pick it up within their first swing. Our on-site staff walks every guest through the basics in under two minutes. The inflatable enclosure catches every shot regardless of direction, so there is nothing to worry about. Guests who have never held a club are often the most enthusiastic participants.
How do I book Capitol Tee for my event?
Capitol Tee is powered by Bounce Party NOVA. To check availability and reserve your date, visit BouncepartyNOVA.com or call (703) 539-2899. You can also email info@capitoltee.com with questions before booking.
How do I get a price quote?
Call or text us at (703) 539-2899. We will respond within 1 business day with availability and pricing for your date and location.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least 3 to 4 weeks in advance for most events. Graduation parties in May and June and large community events should book 6 to 8 weeks ahead. Spring and fall — peak season in Northern Virginia — fill up quickly. Contact us as early as possible to lock in your date.
What happens if the weather is bad on my event day?
We monitor weather closely before every event and communicate with you proactively. If conditions would compromise safety — heavy rain, winds over 25 mph, or temperatures below 45 degrees — we will work with you to reschedule. See our Cancellation Policy for full details.

Corporate Events

Can you set up at our office or conference center?
Yes. For indoor venues you need a ceiling height of at least 10 feet and a footprint of approximately 15x25 feet. For outdoor setups — parking lots, courtyards, rooftops, or campus grounds — we need a flat, level area of approximately 20x30 feet and access to a standard 120V outlet. If you are not sure whether your venue qualifies, send us the address and we will advise.
How many employees or guests can participate?
One person swings at a time, but the rotation moves quickly with our staff running the experience. For most corporate events, we recommend a minimum 3-hour booking for groups of 20 to 40 people. For larger events of 50 to 100 guests, plan for 4 to 5 hours. Contact us and we will help you plan the right duration for your headcount.
Do employees need to know how to play golf?
Not at all. Our on-site staff coaches beginners through their first swing in under two minutes. Many clients find that employees who have never played enjoy it the most — first-time swings are unpredictable and generate exactly the kind of shared laughter that makes an event memorable.
How does this work for client entertainment specifically?
A golf simulator creates a competitive, shared activity that breaks the typical dinner-and-handshake format. Guests compare distances on screen, challenge each other in closest-to-the-pin contests, and the data keeps conversation going for the full event. It has become the primary client entertainment format for companies across technology, financial services, and government contracting in Northern Virginia.
What areas do you serve for corporate events?
We serve all of Loudoun County, Fairfax County, and the broader DC Metro Area — including Ashburn, Leesburg, Brambleton, South Riding, Reston, Herndon, McLean, Tysons, Falls Church, Chantilly, Fairfax, Centreville, and Washington DC. Extended travel is available for larger events outside our standard area.
Can you provide a certificate of insurance for our venue?
Yes. Capitol Tee carries full general liability insurance and can provide certificates of insurance for venues that require them. Email info@capitoltee.com and we will coordinate the documentation before your event date.

Community Events

Can you set up at a park or outdoor venue?
Yes. We regularly set up at parks, church grounds, HOA common areas, school campuses, and community center grounds throughout Northern Virginia. We need a flat, level area of approximately 20x30 feet and access to a standard 120V electrical outlet. If power is not available at your location, contact us to discuss generator options.
Is the golf simulator safe for families with young children?
Yes. The inflatable enclosure keeps every shot fully contained, and our staff supervises the activity throughout the event. The simulator is appropriate for children ages 6 and up — younger children can participate with a parent alongside them. It is one of the few activities at community events that engages kids, parents, and grandparents equally.
How does the golf simulator work as a fundraiser activity?
Several formats work well. The most common are: charging a flat fee per swing, selling timed-play passes for a set donation amount, or running a sponsored closest-to-the-pin contest where participants pay an entry fee and compete for a prize. The simulator draws consistent foot traffic throughout the event and generates steady ticket revenue without requiring volunteer oversight — our staff manages everything.
Do you serve Loudoun County for church and HOA events?
Yes — Loudoun County is our home base. We serve churches, HOAs, civic organizations, and community groups throughout Ashburn, Leesburg, Brambleton, South Riding, Sterling, Herndon, Aldie, Purcellville, Round Hill, Middleburg, Waterford, Hamilton, Lovettsville, and surrounding communities. We also serve Fairfax County, Prince William County, and parts of Frederick, Maryland.
How far in advance should I book for a community event?
We recommend booking at least 3 to 4 weeks in advance for most community events. Large festivals or events with firm public-announced dates should book 6 to 8 weeks ahead. Spring and fall — the peak season for outdoor community events in Northern Virginia — fill up quickly. Contact us as early as possible to secure your date.

School Events

Is a golf simulator appropriate for elementary school students?
Yes. The inflatable enclosure contains every shot regardless of direction or force — there are no safety concerns about loose balls in a crowd. Our staff adjusts difficulty and swing assistance for younger students. The simulator works well for grades K through 12, with our team adapting the experience for each age group. We recommend students under 8 swing with a nearby adult, which our on-site team can facilitate.
How does the golf simulator work as a PTA fundraiser activity?
The most effective formats are a flat fee per swing, timed-play passes at a set donation amount, or a sponsored closest-to-the-pin competition where students and families pay an entry fee to compete for a prize. The simulator draws a consistent crowd and generates ticket revenue throughout the event without requiring any volunteer management — our staff runs the station entirely.
Can you set up on a school campus or athletic field?
Yes. We set up on school athletic fields, parking lots, cafeterias, gymnasiums, and outdoor courtyards. We need a flat, level area of approximately 20x30 feet and access to a standard 120V electrical outlet. For indoor venues, a minimum 10-foot ceiling height is required. Contact us with your school site details and we will confirm logistics.
Do teachers or PTA volunteers need to manage the simulator?
No. Our on-site staff manages the entire activity from setup through teardown — student supervision, game management, scoring, and line management are all handled by our team. You do not need to assign a volunteer or staff member to the golf simulator station.
How many students can use the simulator during a school event?
One student plays at a time, with rotations typically taking 3 to 5 minutes per student depending on swings allowed. For a half-day school carnival, a 4-hour rental can accommodate 50 to 80 participants with multiple turns each. For all-day field days, contact us with your total student count and event schedule so we can plan the right rental length.

Birthday Parties

Can you rent a golf simulator for a birthday party in Ashburn or Leesburg?
Yes. We deliver to Ashburn, Leesburg, Brambleton, South Riding, Sterling, Herndon, Chantilly, Fairfax, McLean, Reston, Aldie, Falls Church, Centreville, Purcellville, Great Falls, Vienna, and all of Loudoun County and Fairfax County. Give us your zip code or address and we will confirm delivery availability.
Is a golf simulator appropriate for a kids birthday party?
Yes. We recommend the simulator for kids ages 6 and up. The inflatable enclosure contains every shot entirely — there are no loose balls and no safety perimeter required. Our staff manages the activity throughout the party, supervising younger players and adjusting for different age groups.
What makes a golf simulator better than other birthday party activities?
Three things: it works for every age, it keeps guests engaged throughout the party rather than burning out after 30 minutes, and it creates genuine competitive moments that become the lasting memories. Most birthday party activities plateau quickly. A golf simulator generates ongoing competition — guests come back multiple times to improve their score or beat a friend. That sustained engagement is what hosts consistently report as the standout difference.
How long does a typical birthday party rental last?
Most birthday party rentals run 2 to 4 hours. We set up before your guests arrive and tear down after the party ends — neither window counts toward your rental time. We recommend at least 3 hours for parties of 20 or more guests to ensure everyone gets multiple turns.
Can you set up in my backyard in Loudoun County?
Yes. We set up in backyards throughout Loudoun County and Fairfax County regularly. We need a flat, level area of approximately 20x30 feet and access to a standard 120V electrical outlet. Grass, patio, or driveway surfaces all work. If you are not sure your backyard qualifies, send us the address and we will confirm before you book.
What happens if the weather is bad on my party day?
We monitor weather closely before every event and communicate with you proactively. If conditions would compromise safety — heavy rain, winds over 25 mph, or temperatures below 45 degrees — we will work with you to reschedule. See our Cancellation Policy for full details.

Graduation Parties

Can you rent a golf simulator for a high school graduation party in Loudoun County?
Yes. We serve all of Loudoun County — Ashburn, Leesburg, Brambleton, South Riding, Sterling, Herndon, Aldie, Purcellville, Round Hill, Middleburg, Waterford, Hamilton, Lovettsville, and surrounding communities. We also serve all of Fairfax County and the broader Northern Virginia area. Contact us with your grad's party date and location to confirm availability.
Will a golf simulator work for guests who have never played golf?
This is actually the best-case scenario for a graduation party. Our on-site staff explains everything to every new participant in under two minutes. First-time golfers are hitting the screen and tracking their shot within their first swing. The simulator does not reward experience — it rewards luck and effort equally, which is exactly the right dynamic for a mixed-age graduation party crowd.
How does a golf simulator keep guests engaged throughout a long graduation party?
Three things sustain engagement: the competitive format, instant feedback, and the social dynamic. Shot tracking on screen means every guest immediately sees their result, which creates the desire to improve and try again. Our staff runs ongoing informal competitions — closest-to-the-pin, long drive contests — that give guests a reason to come back to the station multiple times. And the social energy of watching each other swing generates cross-table conversation that makes a party feel alive.
How far in advance should I book for a graduation party?
We strongly recommend booking at least 4 to 6 weeks in advance for graduation party dates in May and June. These are the highest-demand weekends of the year in Northern Virginia. If your date is less than 3 weeks away, contact us immediately — we will check availability and do what we can to accommodate you.
Can you set up at a venue rather than a backyard?
Yes. We set up at rented event venues, community centers, park pavilions, and private dining or party spaces throughout Northern Virginia. We coordinate with venue coordinators in advance, provide certificates of insurance on request, and confirm all site logistics before your event day.
Do you serve Fairfax, Herndon, and Chantilly for graduation parties?
Yes. We serve all of Fairfax County, including Fairfax, Herndon, Chantilly, McLean, Reston, Falls Church, Vienna, Great Falls, Centreville, and surrounding communities — in addition to all of Loudoun County and parts of the DC Metro Area and Frederick, Maryland.
